All About Online Game Market

Free is affordable and many people have turned to play online games on free flash portal websites. While the stocks started to crash in October 2008, casual games industry was doing more benefits. Most of the online advertising services have seen their incomes slide dramatically but not the online gaming sites. The online gaming flash portals saw display advertising views spike to more than 29% according to Comscore who did the report earlier in 2009.

The term casual games apply for break-time online games to play or mini games downloadable from flash portal games. With Americans tightening their belt, this industry is reaching everyone as opposed to video game consoles. Casual games companies have more ways to make revenues, such as billing players for downloads or tournament plays or licensing their games to third parties or offering premium accounts in which you have to pay a small amount.

It’s far away better and cheaper for gamers than go to the restaurant or watch a movie. People may be seeing it as an alternative to other more expensive forms of entertainment. This business model fits perfectly with the economic context. Another point that could turn to the advantage of such companies is that people who are out of work have more spare times to play online games. But what makes browser based games so popular? The price, the quality, the mobility, the accessibility and the variety are strong factors in which people can play online games freely.

People tends to think that browser based games have poor graphics and content but this is not the case at all. Despite the fact that directx and 3d accelerator engines are not supported, the Flash Game Development technology offers an alternative to display excellent graphics. Javascript Frameworks like Yui, Dojo or JQuery allow the developers to gain more control over graphic components such as Ajax and drag ‘n drop. Especially, the majority of North America and European traffic has at least a 1 MB DSL connection which is so far enough to play online games. All these factors allow web browser games to compete largely with the desktop games.

Casual games to play online have many benefits unlike desktop games. People use to see ads on websites and they also tend to spend more times online playing free games. Why? Because sites have many more services to offer such as chat, forums and fast support by the community that lives by itself. Finally, more times consumed on sites also mean more revenue.

New Game Development Technologies like mobile gaming are positioned to overtake PCs and video console gaming. The price is really sensitive especially in the economic context and casual games will probably grow faster than any other gaming market. Definitively, people of all ages will continue to play online games and this is the main reason why the free casual games industry is here to stay amongst the big brothers.

Play Your Favorite Online Football Game

Type in football game into your browser and you will get thousands of free football games to play and download. Whether you want to play football games online, find football manager games to download or just play a simple arcade style free kick simulator you will pretty much find whatever you want online, currently Web Browser Games and poker games are very favorite in gaming industry.

A lot of these games are terrible - but they know it -so there is a certain amount of cheesy fun to be had from curling shots round an ever widening wall as the difficulty increases.

Gamers and football fans though are increasingly looking to the net to provide higher quality football games either 3D console format games or football manager downloads. Now the net is not sentient and cannot respond directly to these searches but the people who use it are. Well most of them are sentient but this author suspects that an alarmingly large number of users are scoring very low on the Glasgow Coma scale.

The FIFA series and Championship (Football) Manager games are probably the best known and used football games in the business at the moment and this has been the case for over 10 years. You may thus say "It is therefore, my dear fellow, high time that the web designers got off their lazy updating backsides and invented something new" and you would be right. There are only so many updates you can make to Championship Manager before you actually make it easier to really manage a football club rather than virtually do it.

Football games have been lucky in that the game development technology has kept advancing and allowed so many new additions to be made to the original game formats but their complexity is such that people are now looking at diversifying the complexity away from the game parameters and into the internet.

Instead of making football games that are mammoth RAM crunching memory repositories gamers are moving into the virtual world where the game can be kept simple but the interactions between other users make the game play complex. It also gives it a human subtlety of a kind that the writers of Star Trek never tired of discussing with Data, Shakespeare and, invariably, dreadful jokes.

The Basics Needs For Game Writers Job

So, you've decided you want to write in the gaming industry? You've picked up your laptop, you're sitting on your couch and you're...not sure where to start, right? Well, have no fear. The following is an inventory of what novice writers will want to have when searching for that all-important break-in job.

First and foremost: have the proper attitude. Any writing job is hard, and this one will be more so, due to its unique nature. Game writers need to be versed in everything, from screenplays to nonfiction and technical writing, so come prepared to learn quite a bit.

Still interested? Good! Next, we need a few more tangible things. Freelance writers can readily work from home (in fact, this can be the norm for smaller companies), so a computer with a good internet connection is a must. If you're reading this, though, chances are you have that. Awesome. Next.

A college degree is a big plus! Unfortunately, not many colleges offer degrees for Game Writing (or even Game Design, although mine certainly did). A Professional Writing degree will go a long way, and is marketable in many other industries. Why not show companies that you've been dedicated enough to master your writing technique at secondary school? They're probably expecting it. If you haven't studied writing, then having any four year degree will still help. The other bits of your self-marketing will have to be better, though.

So you've got a computer, an education and an unfailing will - what now? You'll need a portfolio. This is the part where many good writers quail. "How can I have a portfolio when I haven't had any experience?" You can't, logically. But you must show your potential employer something, so this is a good thing to develop. Right now.

Research the bits of writing that game development companies need, and then create samples for them. Off the top of my head, I can tell you that writers tend to have a hand in the following:

- Game story and narrative
- Game scripts and storyboards
- Character bibles (source information on characters in a game)
- World bibles (source information on a game world)
- Game Design Documents (GDDs)
- Instruction manuals
- Game copy writing (marketing)

And the list goes on. There is no reasonable limit to the things you could choose to write about, so write a lot. You can find sample works for many of the above items freely available online. Make up "lost levels" for games already published, or simply invent your own setting for the sake of making a sample. It isn't important that the game you're writing for isn't real - what will be reviewed at the interview is your skill as a writer.

Game Testing Jobs at Your Home

Can you imagine it being your "job" to test video games from home? Think about it - the Game Testing company mails you games and you get to bug test them and then write a report on any bugs you find; that is the job in a nutshell. After, you either mail the game back, or in the case of some companies, they even let you keep the game! Does this sound too good to be true for work? As a gamer trying to help my fellow gamers, I would like to explore in this article not only how you can acquire a game testing job in general, but one from home as well specifically.

Let me start by saying that the gaming industry isn't an easy one to get into, especially as a video game tester. There is three things total that will improve your chances here, and they are - contacts within the video game world, some form of video game related degree (think computer sciences), and experience as is always typical among any career. Without any of these, you are reduced to searching for companies and contacting them directly yourself, hoping they will give you a shot and showing some initiative. Unless you are very charismatic this route is about luck typically, because you have many other "unqualified" people trying the same exact thing without any way to distinguish themselves.

Don't be discouraged, however. Like I said, I'm here to help my fellow gamers, and I just happen to know about a solution you can use to distinguish yourself from the herd. Remember the three important things; contacts, degree, experience. You can't pull experience out of nowhere, especially if you can't get the job to get experience in the first place, and you can't just throw money at a degree (although you certainly will), it takes time as well.

This leaves contacts, and this one is certainly more flexible. This is your saving grace here, and if you are serious about scoring a video game testing job, it is the only shot you have barring luck or going for a degree instead. However, having a degree far from guarantees you getting a job, and if I had to rank them, it would be last among the three! If you want to learn more about how you can use this method to get a video game testing job from home, then visit Gaming Tester and read in further detail. For just a few moments of your time, you can decide if it is right for you or not, so what are you waiting for? You could be gaming for cash, it is your loss if you don't take my word on this!

All About Free Online Games

One of the more popular searches online these days is the search for free online games. With families and individuals looking for ways to save money one category that has come under scrutiny is the entertainment category. Technological advances have made many gaming systems such as Wi very popular. The graphics and options available today would have been unthinkable just a few years ago. However with these technological advances have come a hefty price tag. With gaming consoles costing hundreds of dollars not to mention the accessories involved and the individual games averaging about $50 a pop pretty soon you can be looking at upwards of $500 for all the items necessary to play these games.

One alternative to buying your own gaming system is to play free online games. There are literally thousands to choose from. There are many different categories such as adventure, role playing, classic arcade games and the ever popular war games. You can play these games by yourself or with others. There are entire web sites devoted to games where individuals from around the world interact with each other on a daily basis on these Gaming Solutions sites. The success and popularity of these free online games are expected to increase exponentially in the next few years. This increased popularity is expected to be fueled by countries such as China and India as they see the use of computers in their respective countries explode.

The word free conjures up images of games with poor graphics and sound quality. However many of these games have surprisingly advanced sound and graphics. These sites have a vested interest in making their sites as appealing and popular as possible. With millions of people visiting these sites on a daily basis advertising revenue from these sites can be huge. Adobe Flash Player is one of the more popular formats downloaded by gamers looking for free online games. All you need to play one of these free online games is a web browser and internet connection. Even individuals with a simple dial up connection can still take part in the online game scene even if it is on a limited basis.

So before going out and breaking the bank by purchasing one of the gaming systems on the market take some time to sit down and see what the Internet has to offer as far as free online games are concerned. You might be pleasantly surprised at how far these games have come over the years. Take the time to browse the thousands of games available and if your really adventurous you can join in on some of the online gaming communities out there and make some new friends in the process.

Play Your Favorite Four Fantastic Card Games

Card games are great to play with the family. They are very easy to find. These days practically everyone has a deck of cards,

So now that we have playing cards we should learn how to play with them. Here are my 5 favorite card games, (not including poker games). card game development and poker game development company have expert online game developers to deliver quality services.

1. Rummy 500. My number 1 favorite card game has got to be rummy 500. I'm not a big fan of the other rummy games, I just seems like other rummy games are draw a card and hope you get lucky, I could be wrong though. The best thing about this game is that you can be creative and think of ways to get more points, like getting more cards in your hand. The more cards you have in your hand the more points you can make. You just have to make sure your opponent doesn't go out when you are holding too many cards.

2. Slap Jack. This game is very simple, yet very fun. You take turns putting cards face up until someone puts down a jack. Then everyone tries to slap it, the first person to do so gets to pick up all the cards. The thing I like about this game is even when you go out you can come back in. Other games can get boring if you go out first.

3. Crazy Eights. This game is very similar to Uno, only you can play it with a standard 52 card deck. I love this game just because I love to play Uno. Simple as that.

4. War. War is still a great game as far as I'm concerned, easy to learn, fun to play what more are you looking for in a card game? It still is based on nothing but luck, which isn't my favorite thing, but its fun.

All About Gaming Consoles and Online Games

Which one is better? There is quite a bit of competition between online games and gaming consoles that you play on your television set. It's hard to say which one is better because it really all depends on the personal preference of the player. Still, it would be safe to say that online games are extremely popular toady.

Both ways to play games has something special to offer the gamer so let's take a look at the advantages and disadvantages each of them have to offer.

Gaming Consoles:

The cost of some of the more modern gaming consoles are reasonably priced considering all the great features they have to offer.

The HD TV can greatly enhance the graphics on some of the games.Once you pay for the console and the games you want to play, there is no ongoing fee each month that you have to pay. They're fast and easy to set up.

They can be played by gamers of all ages, There are many excellent and exciting games available for these systems. You can gather together with friends or family and have a game night to socialize.

The biggest downfall of the gaming consoles is the fact that updating the system is not normally an option. This means when a new system comes out with better graphics and features, you have to buy new games as well. Although, manufactures are working on this problem and the Xbox 360 is the perfect example. It was designed with backwards compatibility making it possible to continue playing many of the Xbox games with the new console, currently online game development companies are improving more techniques to deliver quality services.

Online Games:

The game options available online can't be beat. There are literally thousands of games that you can choose from. There are many free games that you can play online. any games can be downloaded to your PC for convenience.

Massively multiplayer online role-playing games are available which makes it possible for large groups of gamers to interact together in a virtual world. These games are fun, exciting and challenging.

When problems occur with online games the developers of those games can install a patch to correct the problem. Upgrades can also be made this way. Some games allow you to customize your avatar to make it more personal.

You can interact with gamers from all over the world. You can always find someone to play with or compete against anytime day or night. It's a great way to make new friends with a common interest, Online gaming offers both high quality sound and excellent graphics.
